According to the 2026 Election Handbook, a Nomination form must be accompanied by a Personal Statement of between 100 to 150 words setting out the nominee’s vision, values and reasons for nominating, and if the nominee is a member of a Group, the name of the Group must be included. A candidate’s Personal Statement needs to be submitted electronically to the Verification Program prior to the close of nominations. Each Personal Statement is to be published on the Guild website.
