I personally believe every student studying at UWA deserves the opportunity to thrive in all aspects of campus life whether that be, academically, socially, or personally and that is why I am running for Guild President.
I’m proud to be part of Lift, a new force in student representation focused on delivering real and achievable outcomes to the issues UWA students face every day.
From strengthening academic support and mental health services, to empowering clubs and FacSocs to continue to create a vibrant campus life, I’m committed to building a better UWA experience for all students.
University should be about more than lectures and assignments it should be a place where all students feel heard, supported, and prepared for life beyond graduation.
It’s time for a Guild that works with students and for students. Together, let’s Lift the standard.
I’m running as a candidate because I’m passionate about improving and enriching student life at UWA. Through leadership roles in high school and university, as well as experience as a debating adjudicator, convener, and tennis coach, I’ve developed the skills to represent students effectively and to an ability they deserve. I’m especially committed to supporting the growth and outreach of clubs and societies, which I see as central to the UWA experience, in their role as a medium which eases the social experience so central to thriving at university. My enthusiasm for sport, academics, and social activities drives me to be an engaged and dedicated representative. UWA students deserve strong advocacy, and I’m ready to commit my time and energy to deliver that as part of Lift in 2025.
Lift is the new force in Guild Politics.
Lift has been founded by students who believe in a better way.
Students who believe in a guild that ensures that every student can succeed and thrive at UWA.
Who believe in a guild that delivers the real solutions, for the real issues that students face every single day.
From ensuring that students receive the help they need to complete their studies, to making sure that the clubs and FacSocs that make UWA special are given the support they need to flourish – Lift has a plan.
Students come to UWA to build their futures and Lift is determined to ensure that students have the resources and support they need to succeed in their careers while at university, and after graduation.

I really enjoy studying at UWA because of its vibrant campus life, welcoming student community, and supportive learning environment. Being part of such an inclusive and dynamic university has helped me grow both academically and personally. I'm keen to run for the role of Public Affairs Officer for the Guild because I’m passionate about student advocacy and ensuring that student voices are heard and represented. I want to help strengthen communication between the Guild and the wider student body, increase engagement, and promote transparency. I’m committed to making a positive impact and being a strong voice for all students.
I believe that students deserve a guild that will listen diligently to their needs, with the sole purpose of allowing students to maximise their collective experience and wellbeing on campus. Every student can succeed and thrive at UWA if they are given the right opportunities and environment.
From ensuring that students receive the help they need to complete their studies, to ensuring clubs and FacSocs are given the support they need to flourish – LIFT has a plan.
I’m running for General Secretary with LIFT because I believe students should be getting better value for money from their Guild. I will be Lifting the standards of your student body to deliver what you ask.
In 2025 I’m excited to be a part of a party that will work for students, not themselves.
Lift is a new voice in Guild politics, created by everyday students who are tired of being overlooked and underwhelmed by past Guilds.
I’m running for OGC to bring the Guild back to what it should be. Something that truly works for students.
That means proper academic support, fairer funding for clubs and FacSocs, and a real focus on safety, inclusion, and wellbeing.
I’m also running for Women’s Officer because women at UWA deserve to feel safe, respected, and supported. That is not a bonus. It is the bare minimum.
Lift is committed to making sure gender equity is not just an empty promise but something that is actually delivered. From campus safety to accessible services, we are putting women at the centre of real change.
Because when women are backed, everyone benefits.
We are here to get things done for every student.
A better Guild. A better UWA.
I’m running as a candidate because I care deeply about the UWA student experience, not just socially, but environmentally too. As a semi-professional photographer, I’ve spent years capturing the beauty of not only the UWA campus but also WA’s natural spaces, which has grown into a strong passion for environmental advocacy. Through running events and being part of many creative communities, I’ve seen how important it is to have inclusive, sustainable spaces where people feel seen and heard. I want to use this opportunity to focus on environmental responsibility, and a campus built for all students, not just a few. I want to use my voice and creative perspective to help drive positive change and make UWA a more open, green, and connected place as a part of LIFT in 2025.
I’m running for the International Student’s Department Representative because I’m passionate about student life at UWA and wish to bring my professional experience to every student’s enjoyment of the university experience. I have a track record of delivery, through affiliation with student bodies in the past, and working within the British Government. This experience I believe stands me in good stead to represent international students and advocate for the best outcomes, whilst being able to work with fellow students of all backgrounds and stakeholders across the University. Encouraging fellow students to be active in campus life is vital, and I hope to meet and guide new people in this important role. UWA international students deserve representation who focus on delivering for students and not political game-playing, which is why I’m running for Lift in 2025.

Hi, I’m Aaron, and I’m running with LIFT to be your next Sports Representative at The UWA Student Guild.
Lift and I believe in a better way for students. The student guild should not hinder students' enjoyment of university life and their ability to complete their studies. The guild should assist them at every step.
Sports at UWA have been put aside, where a guild should be promoting sports as a part of campus culture; instead, it is pushing its personal and irrelevant agendas.
I am running to be the sports representative to ensure that campus sports remain important, receive improvements, and are accessible to all students interested.

A better Guild. A better UWA.
I’ve been studying at UWA since 2019, and during that time, I’ve seen Guild parties come and go, fail and succeed. I’ve watched elected members of the Student Guild lose focus on their number one job: delivering vital student services and supporting clubs.
It’s clear the current Guild leadership has lost focus on delivering for students. Students fund the Guild and deserve leadership that cares about where every dollar goes. They deserve a Guild that says yes to new ideas and innovation from students and clubs, and not one that puts up barriers.
I’m running for NUS because the current leadership has gone stale. I believe Lift can be the new force in the UWA community to deliver for students.
I’m running for Guild because I believe student representation should be practical, principled, and focused on delivering results that improve campus life. As a current Research Officer to a State MP and someone who’s deeply engaged in student leadership, I know how to fight for better services, smarter spending, and real opportunities for students. At UWA, I’ve combined study with club life, debating, and mentoring; so I understand the challenges students face balancing it all. Whether it’s improving academic support, fixing outdated systems, or backing clubs that build community, I want to get things done, not just talk about them. That’s why I’m running with Lift in 2025 - to make the Guild work harder for students.
I’m running for NUS Delegate with LIFT because I want to ensure that the tens of thousands of dollars(!!) given to the NUS is providing appropriate return for investment.
In 2025 I’m excited to be a part of a party that will work for students, not themselves
