Young Leader’s Council is back for 2022 and registrations are now open!
The YLC is a subsidiary council of the UWA Student Guild, established in partnership with The University of Western Australia with the goal of connecting student leaders from across Western Australian high schools, developing practical and applicable leadership skills to be utilised within their school and broader communities.
Our goal is to promote a better understanding of leadership in a university setting through highlighting the work of the UWA Guild and other community leaders, inspiring and assisting attendees to develop their own initiatives through a series of conferences and workshops. These are typically run as day-long workshops throughout the year, with each workshop having a different focus and theme. In previous years, there were themes of innovation and sustainability.
This year’s themes will include:
- April 22: Inclusivity and Accessibility
- July 15: Mental Health
- October 7: Sustainability
The Council is open to Year 11 and 12 students, so schools can nominate up to four prefects to attend.
We look forward to seeing you on campus!
