Important Dates

Societies Council General Meetings are held monthly from February to October each year, and attendance is mandatory for all SOC-affiliated clubs. Meetings often include updates on ongoing projects, speeches from guest speakers, and voting on affiliation of new clubs. Free food is provided before each meeting, including vegan and gluten free options, and attendees are encouraged to socialise and network with other student leaders. 

At least one executive member from each SOC-affiliated club is required to attend each Societies Council General Meeting, with financial penalties applying for non-attendance. If no one from your club is able to attend, apologies must be sent to [email protected] no later than 5.00 pm the day before the meeting.

  * Please note that for all grants, 5 days will be allocated to process applications, following that clubs will be given 5 days to appeal their grant outcome, following that there will be a 5 day period for appeals to be considered and processed.
