Budgeting

Managing your finances as a student can be challenging, but there are ways to make living on a student budget easier.

Start by making a list of everything you currently spend your money on. You can organise this by week, fortnight, or month, whatever works best for you. This exercise will help you see exactly where your money is going and may highlight areas where you can cut back and save money.

UWA Student Assist is here to help! We can review your budget with you and suggest practical ways to save money.

The MoneySmart Budget Planner, developed by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), is a great online tool to help you plan and manage your budget.
