The Socialist Case for Abolishing the Police

The demand to abolish the police has been raised in the Black Lives Matter movement. Socialists understand the role of the police as enforcing wealth inequality and criminalizing the poor, Black and Indigenous. This meeting will explain the socialist understanding of the role of the police and argue for police abolitionism.
