Interhealth SRH has once again paired up with Sexual Health Quarters to present the LGBTIQA+ Diversity Training Workshop for 2022 open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in healthcare. The event is particularly aimed at Intergrated Medical Sciences and Clinical Practice undergraduate students, medical students, nursing and junior doctors! This incredibly high yield workshop will include hands-on, small group, facilitated sessions covering topics including but not limited to:
• discussions are sexuality and gender
• communication with clients - checking for name, gender, pronouns
• overview of research on the experiences of LGBTIQA+ people
• strategies for addressing discrimination and micro-aggressions
The workshop will be highly interactive and will include brainstorming activities and small group discussions! There will also be food catered for everyone present.
