Climate Change is the biggest health issue facing humanity in the 21st century. We collaborated with Doctors for the Environment Australia to create an event that invites medical students and like-minded peers to a panel discussion with our guest speakers (DEA) who will help educate ourselves about the current climate and learn about what we can do through a medical perspective to help tackle this crisis. As aspiring health professionals, recognising climate change as a medical emergency that threatens public/global health is the 1st step in a medical response. Students and doctors are presented with an opportunity to turn this knowledge into meaningful action by coming along to a panel featuring highly knowledgeable medical advocates and exploring what we can do at individual and organisational levels to lead a medical response to climate change.
