Friends of Wireless Hill is a volunteer group dedicated to conserving and protecting the bushland of Wireless Hill Park, an A-class reserve in the City of Melville. The Friends group aims to rehabilitate the bushland and maintain its biodiversity.
You will help the group with its current work on removing Veldt grass and pink gladioli seeds, both of which are nuisance weeds in the park.
Location: Meet at 8.15am at Wireless Hill carpark near the Friends of Wireless Hill notice board
Date: Tuesday 22nd of March
Activity duration: 8:30 am – 10.30 am
Attire: Please wear bush-safe clothing including long sleeves, long pants, shoes with socks, garden gloves (if you have) and a hat. We also recommend bringing some water and wearing sunscreen on the day. Bushcare tools and guidance will be provided.
COVID-19: A COVID-19 safety plan is in place for this activity and physical distancing, good hygiene and other measures will be in place. We require anyone who is feeling unwell to STAY HOME. If you or someone you have been in contact with has been tested for COVID-19 and it is positive or pending a result you are required to STAY HOME.
