Conservation Volunteers Australia: Weeding at Bibra Lake

Join us and help protect and restore wetlands, so that these special environments can continue to do the vital work they do to ensure that we all have clean air, fresh water and safe futures. We will be focusing to help rehabilitate the bushland surrounding Bibra Lake. This event will require us to manually weed invasive plant species from around our native seedlings to make sure they have little competition going into the warmer summer months and a higher survival opportunity. In the next few years, these native seedlings will become the bushland in which so many native birds, lizards and animals rely on for shelter and food, so it is up to us to rehabilitate and maintain these heavily degraded and fire affected bushland wetland areas and encourage.
