I believe UWA should serve its students: not the other way around.
Every year, we pay more in fees while the cost of studying continues to rise, all while students are ignored when they need help most. The Guild should challenge the university when it fails students, not simply accept their decisions. I want to build a Guild that puts students first and will fight for their interests.
On the guild council, I’ll operate on three principles: Affordability, Accountability, and Advocacy. My goals are to:
- Increase the Guild discount to 20% and freeze prices at all Guild-owned outlets.
- Record all Council meetings and give students full access to the decision-making process.
- Restore the Guild as a fearless advocate that isn't afraid to challenge the university whenever students are ignored.
