Weekly Study Strategies Workshops

The event will consist of study nights alternating between 2nd year and 3rd year units and also altering theme of study strategy (explaining complicated concepts clearly, applying concepts and linking to known content, doing something creative like creating a story or creative problem solving or making a joke or expression) using core content.

The purpose of the events are to encourage deeper and more thoughtful study strategies while enjoying a bit of social interaction. These workshops will allow students to meet other students, learn new study strategies and practice critical thinking skills as well as oral communication. It's an opportunity to develop soft skills outside of the degree more than anything. It's also an opportunity to study content from microbiology and pathology core units.
