UWA Students Against Cuts

The fall in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a crisis in university funding. For decades, the for-profit funding model has revolved around charging international students exorbitant fees and constantly government funding. This is no longer viable and the sector could lose up to $19 billion over the next three years.

As a result, we face cuts to courses, staff, and wide scale restructures across the university sector. Changes like these are going to come to UWA.
