UM Meet and Greet

The Union of Myanmar's Meet and Greet is a continuation from the Guild's Club Carnival which we serve our integrity to be inclusive of students from all backgrounds, regardless of their Burmese/non-Burmese background, as well as showcasing the uniqueness and beauty of what our culture has to offer. In this Meet and Greet, the Union of Myanmar aims to give students a concise but a general taste of Myanmar through numerous amounts of food offerings. For students who may have never known the Burmese culture, this is an introduction to the many more cultures that may blossom throughout the semester. For others who do have a Burmese background, it brings them back to the homily hospitality they may have missed. As well as the offerings that will accompany the event, students are also encouraged to build networks amongst committee members and others to learn and understand the diverse cultural backgrounds each person is inherited.
