This event brings entrepreneur and speaker Omar Da Costa Shahid to the University of Western Australia hosted and organised by UWAMSA.

The session titled The Prophetic Model of Productivity: Structuring Your Day and Priorities Around What Truly Benefits, explores the intersection of Islamic ethics and practical leadership. Drawing on over a decade of experience across entrepreneurship, media, and social impact, Omar offers students a framework for intentional living rooted in purpose rather than performance pressure. This is a question increasingly relevant to Muslim university students navigating competing demands on their time, identity, and values.

The lecture addresses three areas of genuine student interest: time management and priority-setting, meaning-making under pressure, and the relationship between personal values and professional conduct. Rather than generic productivity advice, the talk grounds these themes in the Prophetic tradition, offering a distinct and academically credible perspective on human flourishing that complements broader UWA conversations around wellbeing, leadership development, and ethics in practice.

The event is open to all UWA students and members of the public. It presents an opportunity for contributing to the intellectual and cultural life of the campus community.
