The Faces of Chemical Engineering

The purpose of this event is to inform students about the potential opportunities that exist in Chemical Engineering in a range of industries, including Chemical Manufacturing, to alleviate the common confusion that first and second-year Chemical Engineering students typically encounter as the club has noticed that many of these students do not understand the role of Chemical Engineers in many industries. Whilst first- and second-year students are the target audience for this event, students of all stages of their study will be eligible to attend, and there will certainly be higher-year students in attendance. We are going to use a combination of short 10-minute presentations and exciting, interactive activities to provide the students with information on the six fields of Chemical Engineering we have identified. These fields being water, oil and gas, consultancy, mining, renewables, and chemical manufacturing.
