UWA has substantial ties to fossil fuel companies such as Woodside, Chevron and Rio Tinto. These corporation continue to contribute to emissions and the destruction of our planet - with projects like the Barrup Hub planned for Northern WA which will emit 4x more than the Bravus (previously Adani) coal mine.UWA's teaching and research is shaped by the corporate interest of these polluters, who sit on University boards, fund research and have paid University positions including the UWA Chevron chair. Our Education and Research should be for the public good, not the business interests of fossil fuel corporations.Come join our speak out to help kick these fossil fuel companies off campus!
