the sundowner event has been made for clubs to take part in a safe 18+ event. there will be drinks available for purchase, which will be served by our members with RSA.

Details

The sundowners will run in Week 2 of Semester 1 on 4 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with the public holiday being on the Monday. Your club will be able to sign up for a 2-hour slot on Oak Lawn from either 3pm-5pm or 5:30pm-7:30pm. Each slot will have capacity for 100 people who can mingle amongst the 2 clubs present, however the event will be 18+ with security checking IDs on entrance.

During the event, your club will be able to sell merch & memberships, and hand out food & drinks, provided you have a committee member with RSA qualifications present.

Once the time slot is over, we will usher the attending students out of the area and there will be a brief break for clubs to clean up their area and swap with the incoming clubs, allowing as many students and as many clubs to get the sundowner experience as possible.

Sundowner ‘Afters’

After your official sundowner, the fun doesn’t need to end there, and we encourage clubs and attending students to head over to the Tavern for student deals.

What we will provide

For the week, the Guild will provide white picket fencing, 2 security guards, marquees and speakers for all clubs who sign up. You will also be able to hire EFTPOS machines, BBQs, and First Aid Kits from GSC for your timeslot. Other than that, all you need to bring is food, drinks, and committee members for staff.
