EnviroWeek: AU Clothes Swap

We are excited to bring back our popular Clothing Swap event, this time in collaboration for Enviro Week!

Australians buy around 27kg of textiles a year and about 85% of that ends up in landfill by the end of the year. The textiles industry is one of the biggest contributors to climate change via; water usage, pesticides, deforestation, plastics and synthetic chemicals. Therefore, op shopping, recycling and upcycling of clothes and clothing swaps save both money but more importantly, the environment. The purpose of this workshop is to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of textiles while also being fun and cost free. It also builds community.
