Come down to the Enviro Expo on March 3 (Wednesday of Week 2) to learn more about how you can get involved in climate action on campus.

The evening will begin with a presentation from Anthony Collins representing 350 Australia, a grassroots movement campaigning against the fossil fuel industry in support of a transition from non-renewable to renewable energy usage.  Anthony will present on the Captured State Report which highlights the gas industry’s influence over the Western Australian Government and poses recommendations to the public as to how they can help reduce this influence.

Following Anthony Collins will be a presentation by Maya Taylor-Trenow, Fossil Free Convenor of the Environment Department. Maya will introduce Fossil Free UWA and explain her plans for the year.

After both presentations,  participants will be given the opportunity to socialise and network with individuals from Clean State, the Conservation Council of Western Australia as well as Students for Environmental Action, a club run by UWA students working to increase environmental awareness and climate action on campus.

Light refreshments will be provided.
