Digital Tour of Ancient, 19th Century and Contemporary Athens

Travel across 3 different periods in the history of the Greek City of Athens and discover secret facts through Art and Architecture.

The Consulate of Greece in Perth and the Greek Students Association of UWA, in cooperation with the School Life and Education Museum of Athens present this Webinar in the context of the 200th Anniversary Celebration of the Greek War of Independence.

We will travel back in time to see what Athens looked like during the Golden Age of Pericles, continue with exploring how it evolved 2500 years later, around the time of the Greek Revolution of 1821 and we will conclude our virtual trip in today's modern and vibrant capital city of Greece. Through works of literature and art, monuments, buildings, a magical side of Athens will unfold revealing stories of creation, passion and heroism.
