Beyond the Surface: A Cultural Showcase

Beyond the Surface is a night that aims to showcase the cultural diversity within Australia by allowing delegates to develop a deeper understanding of the cultures that surround them, as well as to express what cultural identity means to them.

The event will consist of a panel discussion and a cultural networking space* (both of which will include collaboration from 4-5 other cultural clubs and club representatives from the UWA campus)- in addition to this, the event will feature mini activities that allow students to get to know each other's cultural backgrounds and perspectives.

*this space will allow delegates to become informed of social issues that are specific to the featured cultures/countries, as well as to inform themselves on how they can contribute to the alleviation of such issues (through volunteering, adovacy etc).
