Description


An Evening with Pandji Pragiwaksono brings one of Indonesia's most recognisable comedians, commentators and public intellectuals to Perth for a unique evening of discussion and entertainment. Presented in English, the event will feature a moderated conversation and Q&A exploring comedy, freedom of expression, contemporary Indonesia, and Australia–Indonesia connections. The event is aimed at members of the Indonesian diaspora, students, academics, and anyone with an interest in Indonesia and the Australia–Indonesia relationship.

About Pandji Pragiwaksono


Pandji Pragiwaksono is an Indonesian comedian, actor, author, broadcaster and filmmaker whose stand-up comedy tours have attracted audiences across Indonesia and internationally. His work combines comedy with thoughtful discussion of social and cultural issues, making him one of the most recognisable public figures in contemporary Indonesian entertainment.


Important Information




  • Doors open 30 minutes before the event commences.




  • Seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups wishing to sit together should arrive when doors open.




  • Late arrivals will not be admitted until an appropriate break in the program.




  • This show is intended for an adult audience. Some themes may not be suitable for children. Every attendee occupying a seat, regardless of age, must purchase and hold a valid ticket.




  • Concession tickets are available to holders of a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card, Department of Veterans' Affairs Card, and holders of a valid full-time secondary or tertiary student card. Concession ticket holders may be required to present proof of their concession upon entry.




  • Tickets are non-refundable except where required by law.

Transport and Parking


Parking is free and unrestricted in most bays at Murdoch University after 5pm, but please make sure to follow signage carefully to avoid a fine. Car Park 3 is the closest parking area to the Kim Beazley Lecture Theatre.

Murdoch University is also accessible by public transport. Multiple bus routes connect the South Street Campus with Murdoch Station on the Mandurah Train Line.
