UWA Debating Internals - Novice Nights

UWADU Internals - Novice Nights.

The primary purpose of novice nights is to provide people who are new to debating an experience that eases them into the competitive and social aspects of debating. The events will involve between 30 to 50 students at the start (numbers tend to decline a bit through the semester). These nights will involve presentations, information seminars, show debates, practice debates, and other events like social quiz nights etc.

Essentially these nights help us train the next generation of debaters to represent UWA, as we have for decades, on a national and international stage. It also serves as a social opportunity for new students as well as an opportunity to develop skills you can gain from debating, like confidence, public speaking, and persuasivness.
