Trillion Trees Excursion with UniHall

Location: Reg Bond Reserve, Bernley Dr, Viveash WA 6056
Date: Friday 8 May 2026
Time: Please arrive by 8.45am for a 9:00am start. We expect to finish by approximately 12:30pm.

Parking: There is a small car park at Reg Bond Reserve. Additional street parking is available along the road verges on Bernley Drive. Please be considerate of local residents. **Map attached**
Meeting spot:  Please remain in the carpark and look out for our staff and volunteers in green shirts and/or hivis vests.

These days are much more than just volunteering—they’re a chance to reconnect with nature, contribute to meaningful ecological restoration, and be part of a long-term impact on our local environment.

🌱 What to Expect

Nature Care Days are hands-on and rewarding. Your team may partake in critical restoration activities such as:

• Targeted weeding to reduce competition for native species


• Mulching to protect young plants and retain soil moisture


• Site tidy-up to prepare for future planting seasons

Every task directly supports the survival and success of previous plantings and helps create healthier habitats for wildlife.

The session will be led by our experienced restoration volunteers who will demonstrate best-practice techniques and support your team throughout the morning.

📍 About the Site: Reg Bond Reserve

Nestled along the floodplain of the Swan River, Reg Bond Reserve is a rich riparian ecosystem and an important refuge for local biodiversity.

• Home to: oblong turtles, frogs, fish, and over 20 bird species


• Vegetation: River Red Gums (Eucalyptus rudis), Sheoaks (Casuarina obesa) and wetland understorey


• Features: A preserved billabong, native flora corridors, and vital linkages to Woodbridge Riverside Park

👟 What to Bring & Wear

• Gardening gloves (optional but recommended)


• A refillable water bottle


• Hat and sunglasses


• Wet weather gear (if rain is forecast)


• Sturdy footwear – gumboots or boots are ideal. The site may be muddy, and sneakers are not recommended.


• Snacks

We kindly ask that attendees avoid bringing disposable items where possible.
