The Mid-Autumn Festival (MAF) 2025, hosted by the Malaysian Cultural Society (MCS), Singapore Students’ Society (SSS), and Australia-China Youth Association (ACYA), will be held on Saturday, 11 October 2025 from 5PM –10 PM at Oak Lawn, UWA. Expected to draw around 600 attendees, the festival will showcase a mix of cultural performances including lion dance, traditional Chinese dance, guzheng music, K-pop acts, and live singers, alongside hands-on workshops such as tea tasting, mooncake making, calligraphy, lantern crafting, and auspicious knot tying. Attendees can also enjoy interactive games like the lantern riddle hunt, mahjong, and carnival-style activities, plus social zones featuring a photo booth, wish wall, and Hanfu dress-up. With diverse food vendors serving Malaysian and Asian cuisine, the event aims to create a warm “home-away-from-home” for students while promoting cultural exchange, community connection, and celebration of tradition.
