International Olympics

The UWA International Olympics is a collaboration between UWA International Students Department & UWA Guild Sports with the support of UWA Sport. We're aiming to promote student wellbeing, cultural diversity, teamwork, and social connection through friendly sporting competition. The event will be held on 25 August 2026 and is expected to attract approximately 120 participants (12 teams of 10) supported by around 25 volunteers.

Throughout the afternoon, teams will rotate through a variety of recreational sports and challenges, including Tug of War, Spikeball, Frisbee Golf, Badminton, Futsal, and a Relay Race. We will start out on Riley oval, briefly enter the sports hall for the badminton and futsal competitions, before returning to Riley oval for the final obstacle race. There will also be some events such as spikeball that will run continuously so that students who can't attend the whole event can still get a chance to participate.

To further enhance the event experience, we are seeking support from Red Bull to provide participants and volunteers with refreshments throughout the day while helping create an energetic and engaging  environment with music.
