Fresher Dance 2026

Fresher Dance is an annual event that occurs across Australia where University College students compete to have the best dance performance. The UWA version of Fresher dance goes for about 6 minutes and are judged, these dances are usually very amateur as all first year University College students must learn them. This event is designed to improve physical activity and well-being of students as well as having fun in an environment without alcohol etc. It has run for many years successfully at Matilda Bay, and we'd be very keen to continue this tradition. Most of the students recall Fresher-Dance as their most fond experience from College. Each year it attracts approximately 500 students and their staff, who oversee their behaviour and dance.
