Empower and Educate: Expansive Intro to Sewing with Remida

Join us for the Sewing Garments Upskilling Workshop, a supportive and empowering event where practical skills meet personal growth.

Learn useful sewing techniques—focusing on hand sewing with a sewing machine demonstration—that can be applied to clothing repairs, alterations, or simple garment making.

Beyond technical skills, this workshop is a step toward something bigger:

• Empowerment through creativity and skill-building


• Opportunities to volunteer and participate in future community-led activities such as repair lab sessions


• A chance to connect, share stories, and build a sense of belonging

Whether you're new to sewing or looking to refresh your skills, you’ll gain confidence and a practical toolkit that supports independence, resilience, and self-agency.
