Earthwise is a small community based organisation located at 315 Bagot Road Subiaco. Fortified in an old Uniting Church site there is an op shop, permaculture garden, and weekly food centre. On Thursday, community members pop in for a cheap feed and musical merriment. The centre has an ample display of modern principles of permaculture and sustainability.

Earthwise has no paid staff and funds generated from hiring the venue and sales in the op shop are used for running costs & buildings maintenance. The gardens offer a useful opportunity to teach the community about reusing and recycling resources in a small space.

On the day volunteers would be working in the permaculture gardens feeding livestock (worms), making compost, planting, maintaining garden plants and trees, or working in the op-shop sorting, cleaning, displaying goods.

After a morning's work and fun, you'll return back to campus for a hard-earned BBQ (Vegetarian and GF options available) and a short presentation.

Your flag will mark the Oak Lawn for the following week to recognise your hard work and the value of doing good for other people!
