Friends of Wireless Hill is a volunteer group dedicated to conserving and protecting the bushland of Wireless Hill Park, an A-class reserve in the City of Melville. The Friends group aims to rehabilitate the bushland and maintain its biodiversity.


You will help the group with its current work on removing Veldt grass and pink gladioli seeds, both of which are nuisance weeds in the park.



Location: Meet at 8.30am at Wireless Hill carpark near the Friends of Wireless Hill notice board (near the public toilets).


Date: Tuesday 17th December


Getting there: Meet at Guild Volunteering at 8:00 amWe will then all drive together in the Guild Mini Van. However, if bookings for this event are full, you are also welcome to make your own way there. Please notify us via email [email protected]. The van should return to UWA campus no later than 12:30pm.


Activity duration: 8:30 am – 11.30 am


Attire: Please wear bush-safe clothing including long sleeves, long pants, shoes with socks, garden gloves (if you have) and a hat. We also recommend bringing some water and wearing sunscreen on the day. Bushcare tools and guidance will be provided.
