The event will bring together youth from the Muslim community at UWA and the general public to discuss activism within the youth, how the youth have a unique position socially to change their environment for the better, and how the ability to change the environment brings with it a unique responsibility for the youth to stand up for what is right. This will be an open conversation event, where the first half of the event the topic will be introduced and discussed in general, and in the second half participants will break into groups to come up with an idea and a plan that aims to tackle an issue in the community. There will be no speaker for this event, however, the conversation will be facilitated by Dr Amira Allahham who is a member of the Muslim Students Association. The event will include UWA students, UWA alumni and some youth from the general public as it will be advertised on the Muslim Students Association’s social media which has a big following form the Muslim community.
