19 May - Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day

TURK - Turkish Unity and Recognition of Kultur Club is planning to host a cultural commemoration event in recognition of 19 May - Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day, an important national day in Turkish history celebrating youth, unity, culture, and community spirit.

The purpose of the event is to introduce students to the cultural and historical significance of the day while encouraging intercultural engagement and community participation at UWA. The program will include short presentations and speeches about the meaning and history of 19 May, Turkish culture, and the importance of youth and community values. We also plan to show a short commemorative video presentation during the event, therefore access to basic presentation equipment such as a projector/screen would be appreciated.

The event is expected to have approximately 50 attendees and will be conducted in a respectful and educational environment. Light catering and refreshments will be provided. No alcohol or high-risk activities will be involved.
