Academic misconduct occurs when you are found to have breached explicit guidelines relating to assessment or engaged in other activities that challenge the academic integrity of the University. Misconduct is taken extremely seriously at a tertiary level. If you receive an academic misconduct charge, we can explain what happens next and support you throughout the process.
Having trouble getting feedback? Want to appeal your grade? Assessment disputes can be tricky, so it pays to get some advice.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your uni experience (such as teaching quality, supervision, decisions made regarding your education, or the conduct of UWA staff or students) you have the right to lodge a complaint.
Exams can be stressful – make sure you know what’s expected and how to avoid problems that may arise.
You can apply for a refund of tuition fees and re-credit of FEE-HELP in certain circumstances.
If you feel you have been unfairly marked or are unhappy with a University decision, a Student Assist Officer can assist you through the review and appeal process. You have ten University working days from the official release of results (for an assessment mark or final grade) or a University decision (e.g. outcome of special consideration) to request a review. Contact us ASAP!
