PROSH
PROSH is an annual satirical newspaper written by students at the University of Western Australia to raise funds for charity. Since its humble beginnings in 1931, it has grown to become UWA’s most iconic student tradition, and one of WA’s biggest single-day charity events, having raised over 2 million dollars to date.
Wellbeans
Wellbeans is a student-run volunteer group focusing on student safety, mental health and physical wellbeing. Wellbeans supports students, parties, and social events as peer-to-peer support. Fill out the below request form to organise Wellbeans support at your next UWA event.
Guild Gardens
Tend to our amazing community garden on UWA campus. Help us plant, cultivate and harvest fruits, veggies and flowers while meeting new friends.
Relay 4 Life
Relay for Life is a fun and moving experience that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, and support services. It’s a chance for the community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, those going through a cancer experience and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost and to raise money to help save more lives. Volunteer with the relay for life UWA committee to help support the running of such an important event.
Breadrun
Volunteers assist with the collection and sorting of bread donations from Mount Claremont Bakery which provides support to UWA students in need.
Microvolunteering
Drop in to Micro Volunteering every Monday from 1-3pm during semester and lend a hand on a wide range of different projects each week.
Perth Homeless Support Group
Sort vital donations for people experiencing homelessness at the Perth Homeless Support Group Warehouse, make your own way there. Every Wednesday from 10am – 12:30pm.
Conservation?
We partner with multiple conservation groups such as Swan Estuary Reserve Action Group, Friends of Mosman Park, Hollywood Reserve and Wireless Hill. Meet fellow UWA students and join community volunteers to support our natural environment.
