Department, Sub-Councils & Committee Rules

departments

Guild departments are student-run bodies that represent the interests of specific groups of students.

Each department is headed by elected office bearers, who are responsible for leading the department, organising its activities, and advocating for the students it represents. Departments receive their own budgets, allowing them to run events, campaigns, support services, and other initiatives relevant to their area. Departments help ensure that particular student communities, such as international students, residential college students, queer students, and other groups, have a direct voice within the Guild and are able to advance their interests through dedicated student-led representation.
