Quantitative Finance UWA (QFin UWA) is a mathematics, finance and financial technology club that affiliated with the University of Western Australia’s Societies Council in early 2021.
The club was established for three main reasons:
- To demystify and introduce the field of quantitative finance to Western Australia.
- To provide an inclusive platform for students interested in mathematics and finance to connect, collaborate, and gain practical experience in algorithmic and statistical trading.
- To connect Western Australian students with opportunities in global firms based outside of Perth.
